MINERAL WELLS — Max Muscles summed it up best for the Dunbar
Neighborhood Council Saturday night following his professional
wrestling win in the Mineral Wells Activity Center when he asked his
opponent "Was it good for you?"
For the DNC, the answer was a resounding yes.
More than 200 area residents packed into the center to watch six
professional wrestling matches, including a pair of championship
bouts. The event was staged as part of a fund-raising effort to help
rebuild the Dunbar facility.
"It was a lot of fun," said Tanner Fountain, who took in the show
while visiting from Colorado City. "I'd come watch them again."
In the Northwest Wrestling Federation's Intercontinental
championship match, Havoc and defending champion "Cowboy" Mike
Andrews were both disqualified for fighting outside the ring.
In other matched, the group's only female wrestler, Lala, defeated
her male counterpart, Syre, The Mad Magician, while "The Original
MVP defeated Tyler Maverick, while fan favorite Cody Knight
outwrestled Dr. Kuckles.
In the main event, Terry Black and Mike Savage won the NWWF tag team
crown.
WBW organizers have said a March show is in the works.
